Fast Turn PCB Prototyping

Rapid Prototyping vs. Standard PCB Production

Standard fabrication cycles take 2–4 weeks. Rapid PCB prototyping compresses that into days — so you can validate your design, fix issues fast, and stay ahead of schedule.

PCB Prototyping Challenges

Prototyping Bottlenecks That Kill Your Timeline

Whether you're iterating on a new layout or rushing boards for investor demos, these common problems slow you down. We built our rapid prototyping workflow to eliminate each one.

DFM Issues Found Too Late

Design-for-manufacturing errors caught after fabrication starts cause costly delays and re-spins that push your schedule back weeks.

Free 24hr DFM review before production starts

Lead Times You Can't Trust

Quoted 5 days but delivered in 15. Opaque production queues and hidden delays make project planning impossible for your PCB rapid prototyping needs.

Guaranteed lead times with real-time tracking

Boards Arrive, Then Assembly Takes Weeks

Your bare boards land on time, but sourcing an assembler adds 2–3 more weeks. Separate vendors mean separate timelines and double the coordination.

Frequently Asked Questions

PCB Prototyping — Your Questions Answered

Quick answers to the most common questions our engineering and procurement customers ask before placing their first rapid PCB prototyping order.

What is the minimum order quantity for PCB prototypes?
There is no strict MOQ. We accept prototype orders starting from just 1 piece. Whether you need a single board for proof-of-concept or 50 units for EVT testing, our fast turn PCB prototyping service handles it all with the same attention to quality.
How fast can I receive my rapid PCB prototype?
For standard 2-layer and 4-layer FR4 boards, our express service delivers in as few as 5 business days (fabrication), with expedited options available down to 15 hours for double-sided boards. Complex multi-layer and HDI boards typically take 8–15 days depending on layer count and volume. Shipping via DHL or FedEx adds 2–5 days depending on destination.
What files do I need to submit for a prototype quote?
For bare board PCB prototyping, we need your Gerber files (RS-274X format) or ODB++ package, including drill files and a board outline layer. If you have specific requirements for impedance control, stackup, or special materials, please include those in a readme file. For PCBA orders, also provide a BOM (bill of materials) and pick-and-place / centroid file.
Do you provide a DFM review before production?
Yes — every order receives a free Design for Manufacturing review within 24 hours. Our engineers check trace width, spacing, drill sizes, annular rings, solder mask clearances, and impedance feasibility against our process capabilities. If issues are found, we provide a detailed report with recommended fixes before production starts, so you avoid costly re-spins.
What materials and board types do you support for prototyping?
We support a wide range of substrates including standard FR4, high-Tg FR4, Rogers high-frequency laminates, polyimide flex, rigid-flex combinations, aluminum-based MCPCB, and copper-base boards. Layer counts from 1 to 20 layers are available, with HDI blind/buried via structures supported on quick turn PCB prototyping orders of 8 layers and above.
How do you ensure quality consistency between prototype and production?
Every prototype runs on the same production line with identical equipment, materials, and process parameters as volume orders. There is no separate "prototype line" with lower standards. Combined with 100% flying probe electrical testing and AOI inspection on every board, this approach guarantees that your validation results carry through to mass production with zero surprises.
Can you assemble components on my prototype boards?
Yes. We offer full turnkey PCBA prototyping — including component sourcing from authorized distributors (Mouser, DigiKey, LCSC), SMT and through-hole assembly, AOI/X-Ray inspection, and optional functional testing. Adding assembly to your bare board order typically adds 2–5 business days depending on component availability and BOM complexity.
Should I order bare boards first or go straight to PCBA?
It depends on your development stage. If you are still iterating on the board layout, routing, or stackup, bare board prototypes are faster and cheaper for validation. Once your design is stable and you need functional boards for software development, certification testing, or customer demos, going straight to turnkey PCBA saves time by eliminating the separate assembly step. Not sure which path is right? Talk to our engineers — we will recommend the most efficient approach for your timeline and budget.
